Graphic Designer

Reports to: Senior Graphic Designer
Status: Non-exempt
Hours: 40 hours/Full-time 
Pay Range: $21-23/hr depending on experience and qualifications
Location: Hybrid (Denver) or remote

Purpose

Produce captivating visuals for moms, leaders, donors and churches that positions MomCo as experts in motherhood.

Scope

Responsible for visualizing and creating compelling visuals including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. We relentlessly pursue growth, passionately work with  excellence and thrive in a fast-paced team environment. The marketing team carries the brand identity of MomCo. We support all teams inside of the organization and drive revenue for membership, MOMCON and sponsor relationships. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Evolve the visuals of the brand and continue to hone in on creating styles that become iconic.
  • Stay abreast of trends in mom culture by visual and branding research.
  • Ensure all designs are world-class and meet brand and marketing requirements.
  • Have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design.
  • Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand.
  • Work with copywriters and project manager to produce final design.
  • Amend designs after feedback.
  • Sketch, ideate, and generate new concepts quickly based on stakeholder direction and self-driven research.
  • Design and export print-ready brochures, flyers, postcards, posters, and other print collateral materials for internal customers.
  • Contribute to the initial conceptualization of design projects.
  • Work with all cross-organizational teams to develop excellent, cohesive visual materials – including Events, Strategic Relationships, Development, Sales and Leadership Experience.
  • Deep understanding of the MomCo brand and ability to push the brand forward.
  • Explore and present new design ideas to the Senior Graphic Designer and Marketing Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in graphic design.
  • Strong creative vision, both visually and with words.
  • Hungry, humble, smart.
  • Entrepreneurial and growth-minded.
  • Follower of Jesus and able to faithfully sign and uphold the MomCo Faith and Values Statement.
  • Proactive self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Organized & detail oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
  • An in-depth understanding of design fundamentals, and comprehensive knowledge of the Adobe Suite including but not limited to; Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of Canva online design software and social media template creation.
  • Experience creating or incorporating illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of internal and external communications.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and communicate updates on multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
  • The ability to effectively identify and leverage design tools within multiple projects.
